Bike or Hike
Explore the recreational trail along the river through town, or any of the miles of scenic trails in town and throughout the valley. Suitable for all abilities.
Scenic Gondola Rides
Starting June 20 - September 1, elevate your summer with a ride up to Mt. Werner in an eight-passanger gondola. Enjoy great mountain views and watch as the seasons change - you can even hike or bike on one of the trails once you've reached the top. More.
Head out to the Steamboat and Stagecoach lakes for boating or relaxing on the beach. For a more adventurous activity, experience paddle-boarding on Pearl Lake, with its peaceful setting and scenic views.
Team up with one of our local ranches to go horseback riding, or for an old-fashioned wagon ride, complete with a homemade rancher’s barbeque, if you like. Pony rides for the kids.
Join the fun at historic Howelsen Hill on “The Howler,” a 2400 foot, 2-track alpine slide, great views from the chairlift and lots of excitement for the all on our Olympic jumping hill downtown.
