Steamboat Springs visitors will enjoy the new promenade, at the Steamboat base area. The promenade stretches from Torian Plum to One Steamboat Place. It features a year-round pedestrian walkway with snow-melt pavers in the winter and the Burgess Creek in the summer months.
During the summer months, the promenade features the calming waters of Burgess Creek starting with a waterfall ending in an attractive water feature next to One Steamboat Place. The added attraction of a seasonal water element, incorporates a number of different experiences ranging from shady seating areas and wide-open expanses of lawn to a sandy beach area where children can splash in the water to cool off. A variety of activities and relaxation awaits at the Steamboat Promenade.
During the winter, Burgess Creek will be diverted into an underground culvert to allow ease of ski operations and a smooth transition to the promenade. The design creates a connection between North and South along the ski slope frontage, addressing many circulation challenges while enhancing both summer and winter recreational activities.
